So much for that idea
Sep. 27th, 2004 06:12 pmWell, over the past few weeks I've rarely had time to look at LiveJournal, much less post here. Well, I've discovered one thing, I was right about undergraduate school being harder that graduate school. They really do give a lot more work! I spent most of the weekend working on a Data Structures homework that was supposed to be due Saturday night at 11:59pm (it was eventually submitted about 6pm Sunday). I wrote over 630 lines of c++ code, but it works fine and even has a couple of additions he didn't ask for (maybe I'll get extra credit, which might make up for the points I lost for it being 1 day late). And because of this I had to miss a friend's wedding, which I feel really bad about:(.
Well, right now USC has to be THE most important thing. I already had to cut my hours at work from about 25 hours a week to about 20, since I badly need one day off during the week to catch up on work for my classes. The weekends alone just aren't enough. And I really do need to work on finding alternate sources of income (and certain difficult situations here and the fact that I suspect as soon as they have people in and trained they'll dump me anyway make this pretty important). Unfortunately, until I do so I can't really afford to do anything about the situation.
Well, at least it's slow today and I had time to look at a few friends LiveJournals and actually do a post here.
I think the cats aren't happy, because my roommate and I have BOTH been swamped and not home much (he has a major deadline he's dealing with). They all want attention constantly, and Kitty especially has been a little brat, eating the other cats' food (not good when he's diabetic) and having territorial battles with me over my computer chair. I lift him off and put him on the bed and he tries to go right back on there if I don't sit down quickly. I have to keep reminding him that I'm a lot bigger than he is;). I decided I really had to put a stop to his eating the other cats food this weekend by punishing him when I caught him. Locking him in the bathroom doesn't seem to work on him anymore, but putting him in the shower and closing the door seemed to work;). Hopefully he'll get the hint and not do THAT again! Nothing else seems to work with him:(.
