Quick update from NY

sharanWell, I didn't have a chance to post anything before I left (September 11th seems to have wreaked havoc on my writing, so things like this, answering e-mails, etc. have been suffering:(). But last thursday night/friday morning I flew out to Atlanta for Progpower and then up here to NY. Of course since it was a 3-way trip I scheduled at the last possible minute because my mother was paranoid about me flying, I got 3 one way tickets on different airlines, and guaranteed my bags would be searched on every one. Well, it's good to know they're doing that at least!
The concert was amazing. Symphony X (my favorite band) ALONE were worth the trip! And they recognized me and were very cool people again!:) I finished 3 rolls of film and I'm halfway through a 4th so I should hopefully have plenty of new stuff for my web page soon! I took the bands I went for (Balance of Power, Symphony X, Superior, and Kamelot) and also got my picture taken with D.C. Cooper! I also spent a small fortune on cds and shirts, but got some great stuff! All in all, it was a great time!
Now I'm in NY. Although my parents house is 25 miles from the crash, it was weird to wake up the morning after I got here and hear about it:(. Poor NY! It's just getting hit by everything:(. I don't live here in NY and never want to again (I love L.A. and it's my home now) but I guess once a New Yorker always a New Yorker. And it is nice to come back and visit:).
Speaking of which I'm going into Manhattan for a lunch with some people I know, and afterward I've decided to try to go down and actually see the WTC in person. I don't know how close they're letting people, but I know it's just not the same on TV and I feel like I should see it. I'll even see if I can get any pictures.
I also hit Music Arcade today. I was a regular when I lived here and they know me there so every time I come here I have to stop by:). It doesn't exactly help my credit card bills, but since I don't get there too often I guess it's not THAT bad;). I'm listening to one of the new cds right now:).
Well, I'll cut this short. I'll see if I can do any more detailed posts later after I get back to L.A.:)
