New day, new job

So yesterday was my last day at the advertising agency, and today I started a contract at Universal. Talk about a difference between night and day! On my last day yesterday (after 4 years there) the head of the department did talk to me and was nice about it, and when I saw a few people at the end of the day they said it was great working with me, but I did NOT get taken to lunch (something they do most of the time when people leave) and for the most part no one noticed. After 4 years there! Well, it certainly reminds me that I'm better off, much as the money there helped.

I started here and they're all excited about me starting here, and really nice. I already feel like I'm appreciated here MUCH more! The person I'll be working with is really nice and a gamer, and she said the group fun activity here is getting some Xboxes together and playing Halo/Halo 2. Now that is a LOT more fun than the group fun activities at the last job! I think I'm going to like it here:).

It's my first day here and my computer isn't here yet (they have me on a laptop) and it's a half day before a 4 day weekend so it's pretty slow here. It should get busy next week, though. It looks like only AIM works through the proxy server here so I won't be on anything else while I'm here.

I still need to post a report on the BBQ we had last weekend, but I think I'll wait until this weekend when I'm home (and when I need a break from Calculus studying).
