O.K. I had to try this.

So, sharan, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 4% unique (blame, for example, your interest in turkey tetrazzini) and 17% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy writing). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is intellectual.

Your overall weirdness is: 29

(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 65% of other LJers.)

O.K. So I'll admit I added a few (totally legitimate) interests after I first saw the results (Me? Class non-conformist? Below-average weirdness? Huh? ;)).

I still think the herdlike and normal are a little high, but I think the weirdness level here on LJ is higher than the average anyway, which probably explains it.

You've got me beat

I like the way my pie chart makes a slightly off-kilter peace symbol, though.

Um - yo, livejournal meme people?

I get PAID to write books. It's my damned JOB.

Oy vey.

Yeah, I found the comment about "everybody else" enjoying writing was a little ridiculous. I figure either there are so many writers here on LJ that it completely skewed the results, or it because everyone THINKS they can write (whether they can or not). I think the LJ population is pretty different from the general public, so what they consider "herd-like" probably wouldn't be considered that anywhere else!

Yep. I'm now imagining BB King taking that meme, staring at the result, and saying "...you, like most other livejournalers, like music...now, wait just a damned minute!"

Yeah, definitely!:)

BTW, I just recently found a copy of the first of your Haunted Ballads books on Amazon that actually didn't look like it was an ex-library copy so I ordered it. I'm not sure how I managed to not discover your books before, especially since I love music! I'll have to get the rest of them too.

You do know that the new series - first one comes out next Spring - is rock and roll, yes? That I spent a very long intense time involved, and after a long, equally intense absence, am back involved in Bay Area rock again?

Yeah, I've seen you talk about it in your LJ, and I'll definitely have to get that one when it comes out too!

Cool! I'm trying to get more into music now, too. I've pretty much neglected that too for way too long, but I'm trying to work more on my music website (Rockers Online (http://www.rockersonline.com)) this summer (although so far I haven't had much luck/time). I'm already planning on going to at least 6-7 concerts this summer (Rush, Dream Theater, Symphony X, probably 3 Asia shows, etc.). And one nice thing about going to school full time is I was able to sneak a year's worth of guitar classes into my schedule, plus MIDI, pro tools, and maybe even a music composition class next semester. If nothing else I'm seriously considering specializing in game audio programming, so I'll at least be doing something music/audio related finally!

BTW, will you be at Westercon by any chance? It would be nice to meet you and Nic someday! It seems weird that I haven't since I knew you from the GEnie days, but I've only met Marty (and only a couple of times).

Alas, no - any cons I do this year are going to be as a member of MWA. Since I'm writing mysteries, they're the ones I spend the cash on, and cash is tight at the moment.

But I now have a glorious excuse to go to Left Coast Crime in February 2008 - and this time, it's on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Ah. Too bad! Well, I'm sure we'll meet eventually!

Cool! That should be fun! I've never been to Hawaii.
