There's nothing like a near-accident to wake you up in the morning

O.K. Who the hell runs the traffic around here? A bunch of fucking monkeys? Monkeys would probably do a better job! I have to go on the 101/405 intersection, which if I remember correctly was the TOP (#1) of the list on a recent survey of the worst freeway intersections in the country. There's an exit right before the freeway (Ventura Blvd.) which they just closed within the past few days. There's an exit-only lane to that which someone had the brilliant idea to NOT close. This means every asshole on the road (and boy, are there a lot of them here) who wants to cut ahead a few cars takes that, and then cuts in front of people just before the end, slowing traffic and causing people to slam on their brakes so hard it has to be causing numerous accidents too. Traffic stopped so suddenly on the way here that I had to slam on my brakes so hard my car popped into neutral and I came within 2 feet of the car in front of me! If the traffic planners here had a fucking clue how the roads work they'd close off the ENTIRE LANE, not just the exit! I don't know what the hell they were thinking!

I never had to deal with bullshit like this back in NY! At least there they know how to deal with traffic! They really need to import some NYers to plan the roads here (there sure are enough of us here you wouldn't think they'd have trouble finding people!).
