sharanLooks like the hd is dead. Unless IBM will recover it for me at a reasonable price I've lost 5+ months of files:(. Any e-mails sent to me in that time can be presumed lost. *sigh* We put it in an external usb enclosure and the drive couldn't spin up there either.
